Cheek Bone Implants
Cheek bone implants : High cheek bones are traditionally a sign of beauty. They can be achieved through surgery with the insertion of an implant over your own cheekbone.
This procedure is done in less than an hour.
We use Medpor malar implants. These implants’ porous texture allows tissue to incorporate into the implant, to prevent "shifting". The shape and size can be customized by your surgeon to fit your individual needs. The implant is inserted through a small incision inside the mouth so no scars are left on the skin.
A tiny titanium screw is used to hold the implant in place. A soft diet is recommended until the healing of the intraoral incision is complete. Once healing is complete the implant feels exactly like bone.
Mild swelling and bruises are common. Some patients may experience temporary numbness of the upper lip that resolves after a few weeks. Cheek bone augmentation can be combined with other cosmetic or ffs procedures such as rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty or facelift.
